Position Overview

We are looking for Delivery Drivers who equally concerned with customer satisfaction as well as transporting items in a safe manner. We have multiple businesses looking for Delivery Drivers in the DFW area.

The Delivery Driver will pick up and drop off items to assigned local locations – usually customer locations. You may be working as part of a delivery team in order to ensure that items are complete, packed correctly and safely delivered to the correct client. To succeed as a Delivery Driver, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing customers with an excellent experience – even if you have no interaction with the customer.

We screen the businesses for whom we are recruiting to ensure they are following regional, state, federal and CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of the drivers – AND ALSO exercising extra caution to provide jobs to people in need of work but concerned about their safety.

For example, the following questions are being asked of employers in order to ensure proper safety for all delivery team members and to provide us the best ability to match candidates with employment opportunities efficiently and effectively.

  1. Are you hiring full-time, part-time or independent contractors for delivery work?
  2. How many miles maximum do you expect drivers to deliver from your location?
  3. Do you require your delivery drivers to shop inside a store for the items being purchased (like a grocery store order) or are the items given to the delivery driver already packaged, bagged and ready to go (like a restaurant food order)?
  4. Do you require or encourage zero contact between your operations staff and your delivery drivers?
  5. Do you require or encourage zero contact between your delivery drivers and your customers?
  6. Do you inform customers that your delivery service is a “no-contact delivery service” to ensure social distancing?
  7. How do customers pay for your products?
  8. How do customers tip their delivery drivers?
  9. How do your delivery drivers earn money?
         a) Percentage of total customer order?
         b) Flat delivery fee?
         c) Delivery driver tips?
  10. How often do you pay your delivery drivers?
  11. How are you letting your customer base that you are open for business and can deliver local orders?
         a) Social media?
         b) Email list?
         c) Bulk text messaging?

 Benefits and Total Rewards

The benefits, if any, are determined by the business which needs the delivery drivers. Most opportunities will be part-time without benefits and some will be 1099 contractor opportunities like GRUBHUB or DoorDash.

Customers are encouraged to tip well to ensure delivery drivers are well cared for – particularly now while so many people are depending on home- and B2B-delivery services.

When you complete the next step in the process and complete a hiring profile, you can tell us which types of opportunities (part-time, full-time, contractor) you are willing and unwilling to accept.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities will be determined by the business which needs the delivery drivers, the type of organization and the product(s) being delivered.

The duties and responsibilities could include,

  • Loading, transporting and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
